I Wander'd Lonely as a Cloud

“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.”

"The future", they say, "belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

 Few examples for this quotation:-

Ludwing van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist whose hearing began to deteriorate in his 20s. Despite increasing deafness, Beethoven continued his work and wrote prodigiously. He composed inspiring pieces of music and continued to conduct and perform even after losing his hearing completely. He believed in the beauty of his musical compositions inspite of not being able to hear it himself- one of the reasons why he remains one of the most acclaimed and influential composers of all time.

When Elvis Presley, an American musician, actor, was enrolled at Humes High School, his music teacher gave him C in music in eighth grade and told him he had no aptitude for singing. The next day, the teenage Presley brought in his guitar and sang in an effort to prove otherwise. By the time he graduated high school in June 1953, Presley had already chosen music as his future. Presley, who never received formal music training or learned to read music, sold over 300 million albums during his lifetime and became world renowned as the King of Rock and Roll.

In their own way, all these people set an example of fulfilling the dreams they believed in... an example , we could all do well to follow in our own lives as well.

How I Start My Day rather I would say reading others views on how dy start their day....

Today morning I wake up around 5:45 A.M.. :P gud for me n shocking..but a true saying u cant fight or control nature’s happening. Same case wid me it was nature’s call.(Hope many understood) :P..

5:45 in d morning I was in deep sleep but u if its nature’s call u have to open ur eyes…So after that stuff  it was around 6 AM.. Now what to do all were sleeping n I ‘am awake?? So just went out in my balcony felt d morning fresh air n very nice cloudy weather..Finally decided to go for walk..Dressed up quickly n went fr walk…While walking I was feeling fresh, happy n energetic .. Came back home Mum was shocked …Otherwise it’s been 2 weeks every time I delayed to rise early in mornings.

Just waking up 1 hour before I left my home for the office..All  days were boring, restless, less energetic. Today it was something different… maybe it was holiday today…Anyway but I felt gud..

It’s been two to three weeks I’m reading Sunday Times by Times of India ..Sunday’s newspaper  a supplement paper comes wid the name TIMES LIFE… In that one column u will find article name starting with How I start My day… In that article u find interviews of celebs, biggy personality n so on.. When I pick that newspaper it was Deepak chopra’s  views on how he start his day… Though he use wake around 4 in d morning n plan his day, do yoga, spend time wid family..Moring tea or coffee n may things..n d most important thing Thanks God fr giving wonderful day..We generally miss to Thank God for giving us another wonderful day.. We just worry that its Monday ,Tuesday etc… Same routine work-office, school ,college or whatever… It’s up to us how we should make each day different  or same boring day….This thing I realize today…I have to plan and execute things in different ways..N the best way for these things r mornings, because mornings are the most productive hours of the day…..

It is essential to begin evry day with gratitude. The essence of how to bring happiness to ur life is to rise early in the morning , and say ‘thank you’. Offer urs prayers, meditate, and practice something that connects u with the Creator. These aren’t just simple acts, but ways to awaken your soul. Remember, that’s wht u need every morning , to awaken your soul, not just the body

I know waking up early is difficult , but try to wake early one day do something different ,njoy morning ,next day u will automatically will rise early…Though it takes 30 to 40 days to follow this routine ..but giving a try would be gud..

Hope I also maintain this routine in my Life J

Should a Small Business Practice Total Quality Management?

Total Quality Management is the dedicated effort to providing a continuously-increasing level of quality in an effort to retain the attention (and repeat business) of your customers. Widely practiced throughout the world, large corporations are continuously examining their products and services through the practice of TQM to optimize their competitiveness, paying particular attention to their core customer base. So why can’t small businesses do the same?
The short answer is: they can. But if you’re a small business owner and you want to apply the analytic practice of TQM to your company, there are a few pitfalls to be aware of, each of which could lead to excessive costs to your bottom line.

Benefits of Total Quality Management

When stacking the pros and cons, the potential for boosting your company’s success makes the implementation of a TQM business philosophy extremely attractive.
Those who’ve initiated a Total Quality Management analysis have routinely experienced an improved understanding of their customers’ needs, an overall increase in customer satisfaction, streamlined communication within their organization and better problem-solving. Plus, TQM has enabled many businesses to unify their workforce though enhanced levels of motivation – a key reward many hope to achieve as a result of the process.
All of these revelations lead to stronger relationships with suppliers, fewer product and supply errors and a noticeable reduction in waste related to business processes.

The Downside of TQM for Small Business

Though the valuable insight delivered through TQM makes it extremely attractive, nothing comes without a cost. And that cost can be excessive, even for large-scale organizations.
Revealing both the strengths and weaknesses of your organization, the findings from a Total Quality Management analysis can result in significant increases related to additional employee training as well as a disproportionate consumption of management’s time. In addition, the process may include an increase in paperwork and the failure to address the individual needs of your small business due to an emphasis on ‘process’ rather than ‘results’.

Where Your Efforts Should Be Focused

It would seem obvious, but the ultimate goal of any customer-driven organization, whether large or small, should be customer service. And when it comes to implementing Total Quality Management for small businesses, this is exponentially vital.
Small businesses often have limitations on finances, personnel and equipment while suffering under the added burden of vulnerability related to unpredictable shifts in consumer behavior. The surest way to offset this weakness is to operate like a turn-of-the-century specialty shop, catering not only to a specific niche but, more importantly, developing a relationship with your customer base.
Before the days of Costco, Walmart and other national grocery chains, specialty shops that included bakers, butchers and vegetable grocers provided food for every family in their local neighborhood – often for multiple generations – by getting to know each family personally and anticipating exactly what they’d need based on their buying habits, as well as those of other family members.
In doing so, these early shop owners set the standard for both product management and customer satisfaction, cultivating a level of care and attention that often extended to their employees, who were also taken care of like family.
To promote this essential component of Total Quality Management, it’s crucial to have a staff that understands the overall process and is committed to its successful execution. Therefore, just as the shop owners of old, the savvy small business owner should recruit and retain quality employees while training and motivating them to work cohesively as a cross-functional team, resulting in more efficient problem-identification and resolution, process execution and overall productivity across all business processes.
These “TQM-enhanced” employees will have more control over their work and a greater sense of ownership in the company, translating to a natural drive toward customer satisfaction and noticeable increases in the overall success of the venture.

SOME TERM OF THE DAY

Congressional Budget Office
Federal agency responsible for composing and reporting data related to the federal budget for members of Congress. The goal of the agency is to provide Congress with accurate and timely information, which can be used to assist them in making educated decisions regarding monetary policies and taxation. The agency was established as a nonpartisan entity, so the political party in charge should have no control over the findings or suggestions it makes. The documents that CBO publishes fall into two main categories: cost estimates and mandate statements. CBO was founded on July 12, 1974, with the enactment of the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act.

Machiavellian
Conduct or philosophy based on (or one who adopts) the cynical beliefs of Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527) whose name (in popular perception) is synonymous with deception and duplicity in management and statecraft. Born in Florence (Italy), Machiavelli was its second chancellor and (in 1531) wrote the book 'The Prince' that discusses ways in which the rulers of a nation state can gain and control power. Although The Prince contains some keen and practical insights into human behavior, it also displays a pessimistic view of human nature and condones opportunistic and unethical ways of manipulating people. One of its suggestions reads, "Whoever desires to found a state and give it laws, must start with assuming that all men are bad and ever ready to display their vicious nature.
